Verruca plantaris
(wart of the foot)

 


Warts on the sole of the foot are difficult to treat by conservative means as nitrogen. Surgical removal may be a good alternative.

In picture 1 is an example of a wart,  in 2 the surroundings are coloured white because of the local anesthesia.

The wart is excised and removed (3-7).

8 9 10 11

The defect is closed by suturing (8-10). The sutures may be removed after two weeks. Histological examination may follow (11).
