Gynaecomasty
Gynaecomasty can give cosmetic complaints or complaints of an annoying feeling or pain on the spot of the breast gland. In example 1 and 2 there is a small gynaecomasty on both sides. At 3 and 4 only the right side is involved.
With an incision straight through the nipple (3) the skin is opened and hereafter the breastgland is freed from the tissue around, in this case with the electric knife. (4,5,6,7,8). It is always striking how much larger the removed tissue is compared to what one would have expected at the outer appearance (8).
Photograph no. 9-12 show the situation after the operation. The skin has been closed subcutaneously, using tissue glue(9) or plasters (11). The incision can also be placed in the lower edge of the areola, semi circular. The large plaster can be removed after some days. Showering is permitted.
